Project Description

Ink, Brush & Pen

Ink was the element of choice, it’s limited pallette was more than adequate to explore the fine expression of varying weights and textures for revealing negative areas that resounded in shape and form. Like a Japanese monk, Viktoras would apply his brush work with a Western eye, reaching from the German Expression lessons.

The marks were like creating a woodwork or linoleum idea that remained as a paper drawing, occasionally making it all the way to a final linoleum print.
